Hillary: We Need Tariffs, Timeout on Trade Deals

Northwest Indiana needs jobs, and she is the presidential candidate who will fight for them, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton told an audience of 5,000 Friday in Hammond.

Against an American flag backdrop at the Hammond Civic Center, Clinton declared, “It is time we have a president who stood for a comeback for Northwest Indiana.”

Imposing tariffs on steel imports would help foster that comeback and boost region employment, she said.

“My campaign is about jobs, jobs, jobs, middle-class jobs,” Clinton said.

Tribune Waves Hands Shielding Rev. Wright while Sun Times Yawns

Sam Zell really has an object lesson for his next talk to the journalists that he employs at Tribune Company meetings around the country.

On March 20, Sun-Times Media said, the 30-day average closing price for its common shares was 99 cents, breaching the exchange's $1 minimum.

Which Fake Professor Came First: Dan Seals or Barack Obama?

10th Congressional District Dem candidate Dan Seals likes to draw as many comparisons between Barack Obama and himself as possible. Who would have guessed that this goes as far as claiming to be a professor when he is not?

Turns out that our Illinois junior senator was billed as a law professor at University of Chicago when he was actually only a lecturer, according to Obama fan and frequent cheerleader/apologist Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times. See her article here. Sweet actually seems to imply that it was U of C’s fault, not Obama’s, for claiming he was a law professor, when he only taught part-time and clearly never held the title of “professor of law.” But, Obama himself has claimed that title in the past, and is only now being held accountable.
