Low Blow Joe's sneaky attack aims at Obama

Joe Novak, the dark operative who honed his considerable political skills in the gritty corridors of Chicago’s blue-collar wards, today lives in a remote area of Montana. But his wily head and hard heart are still firmly planted in Illinois if the campaign he’s now waging against presidential contender Barack Obama is any indication.

Dan Kelley says:

Every time I see David Axelrod apologizing for the misdeeds of his Democratic clients or touting his newest candidate, I think that Archie Bunker's son-in-law, Mike "Meathead" Stivic, packed his bags and moved to Illinois.

Say what you will, Joe Novak has the right slant on the Obama's two income household. These are questions that need to be asked. Will Senator or Mrs. Obama step up and respond?

CDOBS Editors says:

Carol Marin has decided to condemn Joe Novak for daring to criticize Sen. Obama (healthcare executives are terrorists?) and the audacious Senator's (healthcare executive) wife. Marin, who has in the past expressed healthy skepticism about Sen. Obama, seems to have chucked it in here, blasting Novak for even questioning the non-profit nature of the University of Chicago Hospitals, and Mrs. Obamas confusing role with the company (and a few others).

Marin also paints with a big wrong brush as she characterizes J. Patrick Rooney, as some shady operator, who spoils the reputation of Novak by association. Rooney, one of the heroes of the Civil Rights Movement, and a true innovator in financial services and medical insurance is about as far from shade as the middle of the ocean, elevating the reputation of anyone who has had the honor of working with him.

Marin is way off on this one, resorting to name calling and completely ignoring the facts, to give a smack to a guy that dared not give her the answer she wanted to an email.

Novak has a fine reply, given here

So to ask the big question..Carol Marin, wouldn't it be better to consider the facts in the story, or are you obliged to resort to Jerry Springer show style yelling at your opponent?
